Sigrid Kaag is a Dutch diplomat and politician serving today as Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation since 26 October 2017. She was previously working for the United Nations as Special Coordinator for Lebanon and prior to that as Under Secretary-General of the UN Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (UN-OPCW) to eliminate the declared chemical weapons programme of the Syrian Arab Republic.
