The event will gather internationally and locally relevant women leaders and activists, researches and urban experts, in order to exchange, and deepen different approaches and practices of innovative, effective and gender oriented experiences in implementing the New Urban Agenda.Discussing, sharing and circulating knowledge about innovative urban practices with a gender focus will deepen and actualize the debate on urban social and environmental sustainability around the world. Activists, academics and representatives of institution from different social and geographic contexts will acquire new information, ideas and inspiration on how to engender the implementation of the New Urban Agenda enhancing thus the effectiveness of their work and/or their advocacy activities. The objective is to identify a check list of actions, strategies and policies effective in stimulating a structural change in the power relations between gender in cities. The key idea is that disseminate innovative urban practices led and participated by women will not only contribute to achieve more gender equality (SDG5) in cities but will promote sustainable urban policies that benefit all (SDG11)
