Following their joint statement during Habitat III on promoting equitable, sustainable, and productive urbanization and urban communities, multi-lateral development banks (MDBs) have responded to the New Urban Agenda (NUA) by adjusting existing programs and developing new initiatives. These programs and initiatives have a specific regional and thematic focus and are based on the collaboration of MDBs with their development partners, governments, the private sector, as well as non-governmental organizations and academia. The networking event will provide an update on how MDB's commitment to the NUA is playing out in practice. Furthermore the event will function as an incubator for strengthening initial collaboration and forging new partnerships, based on an improved knowledge of all actors about MDBs' programs and initiatives. The event will be implemented through an interactive format allowing for regional and thematic discussions in small groups. Key findings will be shared in a concluding session, where key areas and potential gaps in MDBs' actions toward the NUA will be identified and discussed.
